Sanctuary and Empowerment: Our Mission in Action
The Girls Rescue Center provides a sanctuary for young girls fleeing female genital mutilation (FGM) and forced child marriages in East Africa. Since 2008 We've created a safe haven for over 500 girls, offering immediate protection and long-term empowerment.
Our holistic approach includes secure housing, nutritious meals, quality healthcare, and comprehensive education. For $4000 annually per girl, we not only ensure their safety but also cultivate their potential.
We stand by these courageous young women until adulthood, equipping them with the tools to become change-makers in their communities and break the cycle of harmful practices.
A Mother's Love, A Center's Promise: Sanau's Rescue
When tradition threatened Sanau with FGM and forced marriage, her widowed mother made the ultimate sacrifice—leaving everything behind to protect her daughters. Struggling to survive, they found hope through Christian Mission Aid's Girls Rescue Center. Today, Sanau thrives in our care, receiving education, counseling, and the chance to dream beyond the limitations once imposed upon her.
Her journey from peril to promise embodies our mission: to nurture the seeds of hope sown by brave mothers and cultivate them into futures filled with possibility. It costs $4,500 annually to provide comprehensive care for each girl, and we currently support over 100 girls like Sanau.
