Our Story
Christian Mission Aid (CMA) has been dedicated to meeting the spiritual and physical needs of East Africa since 1986. Focused on holistic community development, CMA empowers marginalized communities in Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan.
Their efforts include equipping local pastors with biblical training, supporting vulnerable children with education and care, providing essential healthcare and clean water services, and delivering emergency relief to those affected by crises. CMA’s initiatives foster hope and transformation in some of the world’s most underserved regions, making a lasting impact on countless lives.
A Testament to Faith and Generosity: Calvary Bible Church's Journey with CMA
When we learned about Christian Mission Aid's diverse programs in East Africa and South Sudan, our congregation was deeply moved. As we shared about CMA's work, from providing clean water to offering food relief, there was a palpable sense of excitement. But it was the Girls Rescue Center that truly galvanized our community.
When we explained the center's role in protecting girls from Female Genital Mutilation, you could hear and feel the collective gasp in our worship area. The horror of FGM and the vital work CMA does to combat it struck a deep chord. Motivated by this urgent need and inspired by CMA's comprehensive approach, we organized a one-day fundraiser.
The response was overwhelming – we raised over $4,500 in just 24 hours! Knowing this money would support not only the Girls Rescue Center but also CMA's other crucial programs like pastoral training and education initiatives filled us with purpose.
Our partnership with CMA has opened our eyes to the vast needs in Africa and the tangible ways we can make a difference. We're committed to ongoing support and urge others to join this vital mission. Together, we can empower CMA to reach even more lives with God's love and practical assistance
