Christian Mission Aid (CMA) in conjunction with donor partners plays a key role in meeting the health and nutritional needs of thousands of people in South Sudan. The ravages of war have left the nascent nation with non-existent infrastructure, adversely affecting her people. Thousands suffer unnecessarily from treatable ailments and the children often are malnourished.
In 2019, we facilitated much-needed medical care, providing both inpatient and outpatient services through its many Primary Health Care Clinics and Health Care Units throughout the remote and underdeveloped Counties of Fangak and Nyirol. More than 35,000 children were immunized, while over 13,000 were treated for malnutrition. About 6,000 women received antenatal care, and over 4,000 eye patients were treated. In total, over 227,000 people were reached with primary health care.
